Welcome to Both Ends of the Leash!

Unlike many other animal people, I never had pets as a kid. I didn't get my first dog until my 20's. Looking back I realize I did absolutely nothing to fulfill that dogs needs.

My true interest with animals began when I volunteered at a local shelter. I saw the need to educate owners on how a dog is a lifetime commitment, not something to be thrown away or traded in. The next 7 years was spent learning dog behavior. Watching different breeds became a learning platform. I knew if I wanted to help I needed to go to the next level. I attended seminars and apprenticed alongside of a local behaviorist.

The time has now come to share my experiences, help dogs find loving homes and to improve their relationship with their owners. My purpose is to find the best way for dogs and their owners to coexist happily.
